Can I upgrade the maps on my Smart Navi?


Yes, Map data is updated annually. The most up to date map data available is Sensis (WhereIs) V14 - 2007.

How do I set the Speed and Red Light camera alerts?


Select ‘Favorites’ from the Destinations’ menu and check the boxes for ‘Combined Cams’. ‘Red Light Cams’ and ‘Speed Cams’.
Hit the ‘Alerts’ button and select your preferred distances for your 1st and 2nd alerts.

The battery in my Smart Navi doesn't hold charge


Be sure that your Smart Navi is turned off correctly when not in use.

Always exit the Destinator program before turning off the unit. if you hit the power on/off button while Destinator is running the screen will be turned off but the GPS receiver will still be active and attempting to establish a satellite connection and drawing power from the battery.

If you are not going to be using your Smart Navi for an extended period you can completely shut it down (hard reset) by holding the reset button for 3 seconds. Doing this will reset the internal clock, all of your favorite and history data will remain.
To turn the unit back on after being hard rest, hit the reset button.

I can't get a valid GPS signal


Be sure that you have a clear line of sight to the sky.

Make sure you are in 'Navigation' mode and not 'Free Map Browsing' mode.
When in 'Free Map Browsing' mode, 'Free Map Browsing (GPS Off)' will be displayed at the the bottom of the map screen.
To return to 'Navigation' mode select 'Map Manager' from the 'Options' menu and tap 'GPS Navig.'

If you are in 'Navigation' mode, have a clear line of sight to the sky and still can not get a signal check that the GPS receiver is connected.
From the 'Options" menu select 'Settings' >> 'GPS Signal'.
If 'GPS Antenna Not Found' is shown at the top of the screen, re-install the Destinator software from the Destinator Console (found on the CD)
If you still cannot get a valid GPS signal contact Technical support.

Where do I find my Destinator license key number?


Your license key can be found either on the CD Sleeve or on a sticker on the back of the unit.
