You need a PDA and a GPS receiver. If the GPS receiver is not a Bluetooth device or a CF car you will also need a connection cable. It is advisable to install the map data onto a separate SD-card instead of installing it directly onto the main memory of your PDA. For use in the car you may also need a car holder and a car charger.

Phoenix IT distribute Destinator 6 in Australia as software only and bundled with a Qstarz GPS receiver, some retailers may offer other packages, check with your local retailer for details.

On many PDA's the speed and red light camera alerts will only work if the Destinator software is installed on the main memory of the PDA (Default option). The map data can still be stored on a storage card.

Yes. You receive a license key when purchasing Destinator 6. A registration is advisable to remain informed about updates and other information and to get an attractive upgrade price in the future. It is also necessary to register if you need our hotline phone support. You can register here at the Destinator Technologies web site.

The license number is either printed on the inside of the DVD cover or quick start guide. We suggest you make a special note of this number and keep it in a safe location as it identifies you as the owner of a licensed software version.

This could be due to one of the following:

One of your codes has been entered incorrectly.
Double check that your license and activation keys are correct, also check that you have entered your Device ID correctly online. If the Device ID entered does not match up to the one generated by the Destinator software the activation key given online will not work.

Old map data -
If you have upgraded to Destinator 6 from a previous version you may still have old map data installed.
When you go the register your map data on the PDA check the date of the map data. If it is not Q1 2006 you have old map data from your previous version of Destinator.
To install the current data uninstall the Destinator console from your PC choosing Automatic for the map removal option. Reinstall the console form the CD and then reinstall the map data to the SD card of your PDA.

Yes.
Because you are reinstalling on the same device the device ID number will not have changed so you use the same license and activation keys.

Tip: Many PDA's have a Backup/Restore function that allows you to create a backup file of all your files and applications from your main memory to your SD card. You can restore this file if you loose all your main memory data. See your PDA's user manual for further information.
